Admissions
How do I register my child?
Please visit our admissions page on our website to enrol your child(ren).
If you struggle with using an online system, then you can book in for a face to face enrolment. This must be a pre- booked appointment via the JtM office phone (07484908960).
How much does registration cost?
Our estimated running costs per student per year is £200 for on average 40 weeks of learning in a typical year.
Our dream is to one day, be able to provide this essential religious and moral education at a minimal cost, to all our children, irrespective of their parental financial abilities. To be able to to this we need your support and donations above and beyond the basic fees which help subsidise the overall costs. If you wish to sponsor a student or an orphan to study at JtM please get in touch or donate via our website.
We have a policy of not turning any child away due to financial constraints and inability to pay the fees and if you feel this is the case please email contact@myjtm.com or the JtM phone, for a bursary application form which will be assessed based on our criteria and we will be in touch with you thereafter.

COURSE MATERIAL & PLATFORM USE
Is the course interactive?
Yes, the whole aim for the learning management solution is so that each child can learn at their own pace in an interactive way, through videos, quizzes and face to face with their class and Quran teachers.
What does the course consist of?
The course is based on the Tarbiyah curriculum for Aqaid, Fiqh, Akhlaq , History and Quran.
The syllabus is available online on the MCE website. Our Modules work in conjunction with the topics to facilitate and aid learning.
Can I access my child’s annual examinations?
We do not usually share the child’s individual internal assessment results as these do not reflect a child abilities or learning.
It is more for us to asses the delivery and content, to ensure it aids learning for your child. You will get feedback on reports day, from your child’s teacher who will be able to give you a holistic picture of your child’s progress.
Can my child access the course on their phone or tablet?
Yes, we have worked to ensure our platform is accessible on mobile and tablets. However, due to the reduced size of the screen and increased strain to the child’s eyes we do not recommend it as a long term option.
My child is very young, is the platform safe for independent use?
The platform has been prepared with your child maximum online security in mind.
In terms of ease of use, a child under the age of 8 may need some support to aid their learning, but most children should be able navigate the easy to use system.
How do I know if my child is progressing on their course?
Your best way to see how your child is doing is to review their work and ask questions about what they have learnt.
Furthermore, the class teacher will have access to your child quiz/weekly module results to flag up children who may be struggling or need extra help. If this is the case, the teacher may email you directly to discuss their concerns.
We also have a report day, midway through the year for you to liase with your child(s) main class teacher and discuss any concern you or they may have.
There are also internal assessments undertaken throughout the year to asses the delivery of knowledge and asses your child’s understanding of the topics covered to date. This is mainly for the teachers and administration team as a feedback mechanism.
TEACHER & PASTORAL SUPPORT
If my child doesn’t understand a topic how can they contact a teacher?
If your child is struggling with their work and needs help they can send their class teacher a direct message for help or they can get help during the weekly session.
Do I need to sit with my child while they are using the platform?
You will not need to sit with them through the whole process, but it would be sensible to set them up and ensure they start on the right website/software and then see how much they have completed in 1 hour. Leaving them completely unattended on their own devices can be detrimental and dangerous.
Please see attached online safety advice for you and your child(ren). https://www.nspcc.org.uk/keeping-children-safe/online-safety/talking-child-online-safety/

What can I do to support my child’s Islamic learning and development, alongside the online course?
The most important aspect of a child’s learning is not what they read or learn, but it is what they see and how the Islamic knowledge is put into action. In this case, you as a parent will be their role model! How you implement the Islamic knowledge learnt by your child in your daily life will be the biggest influence on your child’s learning!
I would advice going through the material your child is learning, discussing it with them, and questioning their understanding in the practical sense, followed by implementing the newly learnt knowledge.
For example, if your child is learning to pray, then allow him/her to pray alongside you at home, thus reinforcing their knowledge in a practical way. Reward them and praise their effort always.
There will be additional links and resources which you will be to access at the end of each module, to further enhance your child’s learning if they wish to delve in deeper depths of knowlege.
